I can't believe that the same channel that hosted the interview would be able to misquote it so terribly in type!

He asked her "If you are wrong… and if the United States - and they will, this is going to happen - goes in, liberates Iraq, will you apologize to the president of the United States?"

She said yes and that she'd take roses and a fruitcake to his front door....at least that is what the footage of the interview I watched showed!

I think she would and it ain't over yet...Iraq may be free of Saddam Hussein's regime, but they have yet to be liberated.

Right now Jeneane Garafalo is trying to hedge her bets...it looks like her upcoming series on ABC may be canceled due to the huge volumes of protest mail from people who support our troops. This would really crush her financially and I think it is great because it is a huge grass roots movement, and I can predict that she or others will say that the Government is behind it (black balling her) but it really is not a government thing but a people thing [img]smile.gif[/img]

Realy, are you sure? That sounds like the exact wording I remember.

Positive. They re-rolled that portion of the interview about a half dozen times in the wee hours of the morning this morning .

Regardless of the exact wording of the quote, I think that hell will freeze over before she'll honor her promise.

Remember that Alec Baldwin promised that he'd leave the country if GW Bush won the election in 2000. Alec, how can we forget you if you never leave?

LMAO, you know I had forgotten that one?! Don't forget that he can claim the election wasn't actually won.

I'll give Ms. Garafolo the benefit of the doubt...this is still far from over and to prove the Iraqi's have been liberated may not be apparent for quite some time...if ever. Free of Saddam means nothing without a working government in his place.

However I will say that O'Reilly interviewed her at least twice, I think. I dont if he asked her the same question in both interviews, but I am pretty sure he interviewed her more than once.

I did not see the full interview but I do know for a fact that what they rolled over and over again this morning (just a portion of the full interview) was what i said it was...note I didn't quote her like I did him...I can't repeat what she said exactly but it was just basically her saying that yes and that she'd take roses and a fruitcake to his front door.

They didn't show him including "[with] people in the street, American flags, hugging our soldiers…" It could have been just an editting job to show only what I quoted, as well as her response...not having watched the full interview, I can't say.

I can say positively though that I heard nothing about crawling on glass.

I also didn't scan the typed version of the interview to find out where she had said she's take roses and a fruitcake to his front door in case they showed that out of context. If it is there somewhere, what they showed this morning could have been just a manipulation of the interview but I'd think they'd rather hear her say she'd crawl on glass before they would want her to just take GWB roses and a fruitcake...you know how blood attracts the media.
