I have read that Inquisitors cast special ability spells (true sight, dispel magic), at twice their level. What does this mean in regards to how powerful the spell is? The spell reference for dispel magic does not mention anything about the caster's level and how powerful the spell is. If someone could explain this to me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks! ~ a true crow

There are plenty of spells that the casters level doesnt affect them, but basically for the inquisitor abilitys it makes them last longer, eg. the inquisitor is lvl. 15 and he has an ability that lasts for 1 round/level.. it means that it will last for 30 rounds.. assuming that it is twice the caster level, i never knew about that personally

Inquisitors cast dispel Magic at twice their level. The chance of successfully dispelling is determined by the level of the castor and the level of the magic being dispelled. The base chance of a specific magical effect being dispelled is 50%. If the castor of the dispel spell is higher level than the castor of the effect to be dispelled then an additional 5% is added to the chance of success. If the castor is a lower level then 10% is subtracted from the chance of success.
So a 12th level Inquisitor will cast dispel magic as if she were 24th level Wizard. Take a 12th level wizard using dispel magic against the effects of a 16th level wizard. The poor 12the level wizard has only a 10% chance of dispelling the effects of the other wizard. Now take a 12th level Inquisitor using dispel magic against the effects of a 16th level wizard. The Inquisitor will have a 70% chance of dispelling those same effects.
