Stuck between Bridge and Merkath's Lab?? Please help

I just found the portal gem in Merkath's lab ... tried to return back to the sewers via the stairway in the room that I entered ...

However, after being forced to switch cds, I end up in the Bridge District stuck inside the walls??

I went back down and looked for another exit ... but do not see any other stairs except this one.

Is this a bug? Or am I missing something?

Any help would be grately appreciated.

The stair way that leads down to the sewers actually have another level. When you are at the stair case, try clicking on the bottom instead of the top, that should bring you back into the sewers. Or if you are still stuck in the area between "bridge and sewers", you can always [ctrl]+[J] your way back to ground level at the bridge district (provided you have enable cheat)

Just wanted to say thanks ... for the quick response ... I had tried going back down the staircase ... but must have gone up multiple times.

Thanks for your assistance ... I have finished the Eye Cult mission now.
