It was a DOS based Communications program you would use to dial-up BBS's. Had Zmodem and HSlink and all the other protocols already installed, and had ANSI graphics.. nice resume feature as well..

I think I had version 3.15e.

Just thought I'd ask.. I used that dang program to leech Gig's of files off BBS's using a 2400bps modem, then a 14.4 and then a 28.8.

I ran a BBS for 4 years or so--called "The Great Escape" and had a Roleplaying game forum too! . I ran "WWIV" (Means World War 4)-- it was like a 'server' program. You dial up, read messages, download files, play some online 'door' games (Anyone play Tradewars 2002 or Legend of the Red Dragon?)

Nope not here! I'm so not familiar with DOS, and stuff like that. I only recall that we used to have a Commodore 64, with games as "Gateway" and "Wonderboy". Amazing stuff, it could keep me busy for hours.
After that we got ourselves a 386, and that only ran in DOS, but I only understood the way to get to the games.. Ack! I'm totally addicted!

I remember programs like that and I remember L.O.R.D. I actually found some BBS's that still have the game running and I played it a while back. It brought back the memories.

I remember using PROCOMM to dial up to BBS's. That was a cool program! Man, I remember when a 2400 baud modem came out and I really thought I had something then, man! If I'd only known!

It does make me wonder, will I look back one day at my having a DSL connection and laugh, too?

Cheers,

Yes! I used it quite a long time ago. Very fine program, and very easy to use.
