You can keep your anime and the newer stuff, give me Betty Boop (the early stuff)and the early Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck ( the ones with the fat legs).

Well I’ve read it….I’ve rummaged though the archive of old strips for bob and george. I’m still waiting to laugh [/QUOTE]you need to read from the start (i dont care if there are over a thousand )
all the jokes are running gags, so you need the background.

The Batman cartoon series that came out after the Danny Elfman movie. It had attitude, a solid hero to root for and look up to, as well as all too human flaws. His only super power was wealth and a single-minded determination for Justice. He made you think: If your parents were ruthlessly murdered in front of you and money was no object, how far would you go to get Justice and make sure it never happened again?

After thinking long and hard about the Best Cartoon, I would vote for "The Smurfs"

I like a lot of anime, but never got into DBZ... I like Ranma 1/2, Cat Girl Nuku Nuku... Robotech was great (at least that's how I remember it...It was a long time ago that I last saw it). Reboot was great-- especially season 3...
I don't know how anyone finds Garfield funny anymore... I think of it the way I used to think of Peanuts. Once upon a time it was funny, but it should have ended sometime in the 80's.

But what is anime really, except well-drawn cartoons made by Japanese people? How is it really different from what you call a cartoon?
