It's not bashing to disagree with you dizzy, no-one was rude! You have to accept that people have a wide range of opinions - just because I'm not a Christian does not equal me bashing you, OK?

As long as everyone is respectful to one another, we won't be restricting ANYONE'S opinions here.

I thought guns were against the law in germany?

I guess it doesnt really matter, true psychopaths will find ways to murder and maim people wether it is guns, or bombs or any other tool man has ever created.

I live in Germany and here are the facts for now as the police have released them.

1 Gunman - 19 year-old former student who was thrown out of the school. He killed himself after a gun battle with the police. 1 pistol 1 shotgun.

14 Teachers killed

2 Students

1 Police Woman

Total of 18 dead and a shocked German Nation.

There were also 4 to 6 kids injured with no data to the state of their injuries.

True...although I fail to see why any time a serious topic comes up here for debate, the discussion immediately degenerates into a religious one. It's like a one-track mindset or something... ridiculous!

Back to the school shooting; it is truly a tragedy. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.

TAOWolf, you are SO right! THANK YOU!
I just posted the exact same sentiment on Pandemonium - it simply sickens me when people barely take the time to realise what has happened, no, they already are using the events as some sort of proof to push their own ideas and morals.
Can't we just agree that this is a terrible, terrible thing that happened, and out of respect for those who died and those who will have to live with this experience, NOT attach any political ideas to it??

I don't think that we should be banned from discussing the matter.... But you are right, more focus SHOULD be put on those poor people who have lost their loved ones than on "what evil heathen religion caused these two people to go berserk?" and such questions.

That's what I mean, Neb - I'm not saying all discussion should be banned, I'm just sickened by this tendency some people have to gloss over the gruesomeness of the tragedy and immediately try to find a way to bend the events in such a way that they might prove some stupid political viewpoint. I'm sorry if I'm being fierce about this, I'm just shocked by the news and I wish people could at least try and imagine what it would be like to have something like that happen near you.
