like home grown tomatoes? just had one of the first big one on a sandwich. Hmmmm. Taste a lot better than the ones from the store.

Tomatoes aren't really that nice I dont think. They've really never done anything for me... And They explode in the freezer (Useless fact there)

Yep, home-grown is better. You can pick it off the vine and eat it right away. The gap isn't too bad between bought and home-grown, around here anyway. We have a few greenhouses that sell direct to consumers.

My grandfather had a huge Greenhouse farm and grew tomatoes, broccoli and cabbage and outher salads...
I loved the tomatoes and broccoli is great if it's not boiled... [img]smile.gif[/img] Unfortunatly he sold the farm when my grandma died in 1999. |

I used to despise tomatoes, but love them nowadays...but between home grown and store-bought, I can only occaisionally tell the difference...I like the REALLY meaty ones, with only tiny little holes in each slice, and I get those more often from the store, but...it really doesn't make a difference to me...

mmm, home grown tomatoes. I can't stand the one from the store. We used to grow some. My favorite always were the little cherry tomatoes. Home grown candy. [img]smile.gif[/img]

My dad used to grow tomatoes at home... but the ants in the back yard started to get to them when they figured out we had food in the ground or above it

home grown, I pre4fer them than any of the others, the store bought ones have a plastic taste
