i yust started playing temple of elemental evil, kicks ass !!
nice gaphichs, gameplay and turnbased game style !

but a simple question for people with experience on the game.

does the "strength" atribute roll the hit dc for melee weapons like swords and thoose to follow ?

eager to know !!!

yes. melee attack is determined by d20 + melee attack base + str modifier (i.e. str 18 has a modifier of +4).
and ranged attacks use dex instead of str

another question

i wanna do some real pro gaming in elemental evil, but i find the place in the woods far east to dificult with only 2 characters.
thoose damn giant frogs and theese hordes of rats is imposible to prevail.

is there an alternate way to get some experience before facing theese guys -?

One, pick up more characters. There should be a bunch of NPCs in Hommlet. Two, do all of the "fetch" quests in Hommlet first, just to get the xp. You should be level 2-3 by the time you get to that area, just due to difficulty.

thx for your help

aint so funny fighting thoos giant frogs at lvl 1 ^^

u get grapped and swallowed, game over argh !!!
and there is like 10 % chance off resting wihout getting awakened by 20 giant killer rats who takes 3-7 hp on each hit ( made me a hell when i solo gamed a cleric )
