Which is disturbing, actually. It happened before that everyone suddenly decided to register a Xsorbit message board, about 6 months ago or something. Result: too many people registered, the servers got overloaded with lousy attempts at hardly ever used message boards created by would-be board tyrants and the Xsorbit boards became practically unreachable for 4 months (!). And now they finally managed to solve the server problems with Xsorbit boards for the moment, there's a second wave of powerhungry kiddos all signing up for this type of board. My prediction: at the current speed, Xsorbit will go down again very soon.

Thanks Sir Exxon, Lady Galdria seems to really love Keldorns Order, maybe she'd clean your armour!

Ack... I hear you, Groj! :-/

The stupid part is, I think I know where this deluge is coming from and if I'm correct, it's Xsorbit's own bloody fault!
I've noticed that every time you register at one of their forums, they ask you if you'd like a message board of your own. This means asking for trouble of course... I hope your doomsday prophecy won't come true, because that'd mean that those powertripping kiddos spoil the fun for popular forums such as the Mithril Hall...

But actually I think that the bad apples will be abandoned soon enough anyway - if a forum hardly gets any traffic, I would think the admin will be smart enough to delete it him/herself.

Sorry for the offtopic in your thread, Sir Byronas!!

Exactly. They did that before as well - offering anyone who registers at one of their boards a board of their own. I know several of those "powertripping kiddos" who registered a board of their own before the first serious problems emerged 6 months ago, and seeing even those boards are still around, it's wishful thinking that they would delete their own forums if it doesn't generate enough traffic.

But I'm unsure what Xsorbit does exactly with paid boards, if they get placed on different servers than the ones with the free ones. In that case, Mithril Hall will be spared when "doomsday" will come. But, to be quite honest, I really have no idea if that's the case or not.

The other hope then is that MH/CRC get moved onto private servers before that happens

Also true. But that raises another question, I don't think someone could access the server of a Xsorbit board, so the admins won't be able to make backups of it. Meaning they will be forced to start over with zero posts again.

Erm, still remember we're talking "Worst Case Scenario" now. It's not the end of the world just yet.
