No, no, Melusine - I saw it, sorry not to acknowledge!(actually, I checked the date of registration and saw it was March earlier on, but thanks anyway! )

Knobhead is Yorick? And I thought you were all making fun of some poor guy with a name that could be easily made fun of.

Breanna, really not necessary, unless you insist! You haven't said anything you should't at all. I made a point, got an answer, made another point. There isn't going to be an argument, my ducks! I've finished posting here now..... look, here I am going off to my Kitty Band thread........

OK - sorry - didn't mean to say you have to acknowledge it everytime you've read one of my posts but I just thought you didn't know.
Glad that's sorted then.

I just re-read the ToS carefully, and see no indication that a second account is illegal. (Otherwise, our dear traveling "bard" would have been in hot water 10 times over! ) However, you cannot use it to mock or otherwise harrass another member, such as the infamous "NHaK" account (sorry, Rikard! ) or the others that followed soon after in that same thread.

As long as the secondary account is used for legitimate purposes, I guess there's no problem. However, Ziroc is the final arbiter on that.

Cheers,

Do you really have ducks?

Just to clarify - so it is okay for us to have two or more accounts, then?? Great!! Because I would quite like another account myself, just for fun!

As far as I understand it, double accounts are generally not tolerated, especially if the user uses it to do things like support himself in a serious discussion so it looks like more people are on his side than there actually are, flames or mocks another member while concealing his true identity, etc. However, double accounts that are "for fun", where most people know who is behind it and know it is a joke (e.g. Knobhead the Pommie, Melusorick, Yoraine, DioCheetah) are "overlooked". It has also become part of the IW tradition that when two IW members meet, they create a new user combining their two names. Fun, isn't it?

What'll it be? Nebkaz (kinda like Neb's 'full name') or Kazneb (Russian influence here )

Yes the combined name account has been a tradition since we started meeting one another in person. Those who post while meeting, at any rate! It's by no means required, though!

I've wondered what the heck my 'dual' name is gonna look like when I've met a few members.. LOL Anyway that is used when the members are posting from the same place and has been lots of fun (never used for any bad purpose).
