I love thunderstorms! Especially at night. Man can I sleep through them. Best sleep I ever get! Love to hear the rain on the roof. Just wish it was a tin roof.

LOL! It did happen to me! It rained more yesterday than it usually does the entire month of June. Over 4 inches! The AAA Baseball game I was going to (obviously) got rained out as well.

kiwidoc's post reminded me of my time in the UK last summer on holiday. My family and I essentially traversed the length and breadth of Britain.
My favourite memories are visiting old monoliths:
1. The stone circle at Castlerigg, outside Keswick in the Lake District.
2. Climbing up to the top of Glastonbury Tor - magnificent views all round. Pity we couldn't climb up the monument.
3. Not a monolith, but ancient nonetheless - Glastonbury Abbey. So peaceful and serene in there.
4. Visited the stone circle at Aylesbury(?) - a bit of a disappointment as there were many tourists (like me) and the stones were scattered all over the village. But intriguing, nonetheless.
Of course, my children's favourite memories were of Legoland in Windsor and Hamley's in Regent Street!

My one dislike - the price of petrol, almost one pound per litre!
