Dio, you really need to get your Ritalin dosage checked.

Stick to one club Memnoch - I know you support Spurs

That's ok, they were priming themselves up for the Germany game.

Believe it or not I'm actually a Liverpool fan, but I save a special cheer for Leeds and their two Aussie spearheads (who cut the Gunners to shreds last week).

"Football" is the game that you Americans call "Soccer". It was named so long before American Football was invented, you just couldn't think of a name for it so knicked football(why they didn't call it handball I don't know as most of the time the ball is carried)! As for a wannabe sport, most of us nations have our own version of American Football called rugby but because the rest of the world is full of real men we don't have to wear a full suit of armour to play it or have a little rest every other minute! Soccer also has considerably greater TV audiences and gate recipts wordlwide then American football could ever dream of. So there!

Sorry, got a little side tracked in my previous post, back to England V Germany. About bloody time! It was great to win and the cheers from my house(I had a "few" mates round and a "couple" of crates of lager) were heard several streets away. Being a spurs fan, I was sorry to see none of our players in there, but, much as I hate to say it I also thought Arsenal's Ashley Cole was scaring the crap out of the Germans with his forward runs. As for Liverpool, I've actually put money on them to win the premiership this season, Owen is in great form, Barmby is getting back to the peak he reached at tottenham in the early days and Gerrard is great(hopefully his injury problems are behind him now) but am I the only person who thought Heskey was useless on Saturday? He just didn't seem to want to run for the ball. Still, it's only one game and Germany are still three points in front. Seeing whats happened in the past with England beating great opponents, only to blow it against the teams we never even worried about, I think I'll wait until Albania and Greece are out of the way before I celebrate too early.

ROFL!! I'm thinking of being a Spurs fan too but I'll hold my tongue - I want to quit while I've got the wood on Donut and be magnanimous in victory.

Sorry Tuor - I missed this, thank you Memnoch for bumping. When I was seven my family moved to a house exactly 27 yards from the Arsenal ground (I know because I measured it!). That was in 1962 so next year will be 40 years of support. Now I live in deepest Sputz territory.

And I've never had to suffer Sperz winning the league and if I live another 40 years I still won't.

I'm very happy today because my Champions League tickets arrived this morning mmm Schalke 04 - where the bloody hell do they play?
