I know that NWN is designed in 800x600, but my Windows Desktop is set to 1024x768. When I load NWN, I get a soft crash...meaning that the game screen is minimized into the desktop tray, and I have to select it to maximize it again. After the second try, it is stable.

BUT...today, it made my desktop revert to 800x600, then an illigal operation came on, and would not go away, so I had to restart the PC.

Does anybody have a solution for this, besides changing the game resolution to 1024x768 ?, which I read from Ziroc is not recommended...

Hmm.. Did you install NWN with 16,32 and 64 mb textures? If not, I would backup my saves and reinstall. May be something to do with that. Re-run the config program and let it choose the options, then if you can get into the game, change the settings inside the game.

If none of that works, I would reinstall your video drivers. Also ctrl-alt-del and make sure no TSR programs are running (Like a virus scanner).

Let me know Lar!

When I got the textures option, the installer had the box for 64 bit textures marked as the default option...but the other two were blank. I only chose the 64 bit install textures...

Should I go back and reinstall all three options???
