I'm curious to see whether or not our internet usage has been changing or not over the past year or so - I know mine definitely has.

Where have you been hiding Memsy? Hmm how to turn this post on topic. Interesting poll. I guess my internet habits haven't changed all that much over the years.

Well, I've been online for over 10 years, but I'm not a guy. Does that count?

I wish you had had an "all of the above" option.

Why? You can't have been on the net for less than a year as well as more than 10 years so that option would be kinda stupid

I'm sort of stunned to see that the largest proportion of the poll takers have only been online for 3-4 years. The Internet was easily roughly as popular five, or even six years ago, as it is now. What are the reasons some of you stayed away from the Internet until it was almost time for a new millenium?

I was a kid - rather outside playing football than stuck inside poring at a computer screen! The only reason I post so much these days is because on a computer engineering degree you have to work on the computer and I get easily distracted by doing anything that's easier than work - i.e. email, message boards etc.

I mean don't get me wrong - most of the people here are great but if I wasn't such a weak-willed idiot I'd get my work done and then be straight down the gym or outside to play tennis.

As it is I stay indoors in the vain hope that I might get some work done and just end up wasting my time on message boards
