For those of you who enjoy the kensai kit (those wonderful masters of kenjutsu) I have made it possible now to switch the grip on your katanas, so they may be used with both single- and two-weapon styles. This means the same sword can be used with one or two hands, just as a katana may be reasonably wielded in real life.

Uh thats great! If only you'd share this innovation with us
Won't it crash the game if it does'nt have a two handed animation? I'm interested to know how you worked around the animation problem without crashing the game.

Why?

Actually, it was quite simple. I began with a one-handed sword and added the "give innate ability" effect to it. That innate ability: 1) destroys the one-handed sword from inventory, 2) creates a two-handed sword in its place, and 3) removes the innate ability itself. Then, I added a similar ability to the two-handed sword (that creates the one-handed sword). Once wielded, there is an "innate" ability that allows switching between the two grips; this ability has a speed of 0, so it may be used during combat. After this, you may begin adding other abilities to the sword(s).

Well, now. What kind of sword were you wanting, Sir Tor? Something custom-designed, or would you like Celestial Fury (or any other sword) to become switchable? Unfortunately I don't have the ability to put this somewhere for everyone to download, but I could send it to someone who does have that capability.
