Nice to hear from a fellow undead hunter, Demus. I didn't know you could be a Dwarven Paladin. Never really considered it actually. I might try that.

Male Elf Wizard/Sorceror. I'm going for the totally magic minded character. Super massive amounts of spells.... perfectly fitting for an arch-mage like myself Who needs swords, when you can disintegrate them from 100 paces

Fighter or Rogue. Since these two classes generally have the most flexibility IMHO.

Thought of another class/race combination that should provide for some interesting role-playing possiblities. A dwarf fighter/sorceror. A dwarf, training to become a warrior suddenly discovers innate spellcasting abilities. Thought that might be interesting to try and I might just do it.

I'm playing a dwarven wizard in PnP right now, and I'm about to give him a level of fighter. This has a lot of neat possibilities, give him Still Spell and he can wear armor and jump into battle and cast without arcane spell failure...funfunfun.

I think I'll try a half-elven Paladin/Cleric. I don't know anything about 3E, but I think clerics can memorize spells, but then convert them to heals if they choose. A cleric could be a lot more effective with spells in combat if his head wasn't only full of healing spells. BUFF!! SLAY!! HEAL!! Of course, I'll warn the poor monster first...

Yeah, clerics have been buffed up a little in 3ED, I guess because they were usually only played by the last person to the gaming table in previous versions.

Clerics are more powerful and a fun class now...the heal substitution means they can be a benefit in battle, not just afterwards.

I'll play one eventually, and the combination you describe is great, you get your saves buffed and the better weapon proficiencies with the paladin level.

For Multi Ill probably work on a Half Elf Ranger specializing in ranged combat with a few theifly skills. If I can Im going to try to recreate a Pen and Paper character I have who on his first outing was changed into a female and has been searching for a way to get changed back (this happened in my very first ever D&D game...and I was a bit annoyed with my friend the DM)
