Please be my savior and tell me how can I kill that vampire in Bodhi's Lair who always casts Protection from magic weapons, and protection from electricity at first. That creature is immortal

No creature is even immortal if you got the wooden stakes. Against undeads, using rapidly your ring of ram and protection from undead, hold undead spells are very useful. And you can remove its protection with pierce magic breach etc

Hmm... I need to try those.
Then I could always wait until it has wasted its spells, but that would be frustrating. |

Cast breach, that takes pro vs magic weapons off it, alternatively damage dealing spells.
Also use a wall of summoned creatures to stop it getting near you and eventually its combat protections will come down-allowing you to chop him into tiny little bits. |

Or run away, wait for four rounds and come back

Now that is what I call a strategy
Neither of my mages (Aerie and Jan) doesn't have Breach spell at the moment, so is it possible to buy/find/steal a Breach scroll somewhere? |

If you either have a Lvl 15 or higher Mage or Cleric, that Vampire is verrrryyyy easy.
Two words my friend, Animate Dead. Send them one by one, and watch in twisted amusement as spell after spell bounce off the Skeleton Warrior. The first one will most probably die because of Death Spell, but that's when you send in the second, then a third, and chances are, he will die by the third or fourth Skeleton Warrior. An alternative is if you have a Cleric exceeding Lvl 20. Walk up to the guy, wave your hand and Turn Undead. See him die within one round. ------------------ If not a Sorcerer, then a Paladin. ------------------------- Baldur's Gate Item Mart |

Then first of all, send in a sacrificial summon to take the Death Spell. After which, you can barrage her with summons and whack her with your tanks while she's distracted by your summons. Some advice. Cast Resist Fear on everybody, including your summons. Breach her. You can buy them from the merchants in Waukeen's Promenade. Either the Scroll Merchants or Ribald, I believe. ------------------ If not a Sorcerer, then a Paladin. ------------------------- Baldur's Gate Item Mart [This message has been edited by Dundee Slaytern (edited 09-02-2001).] |
