Rev Jesse Jackson has just proper laid into Bush lmao over the war.

I love this Obama win, democrats ftw.

Black president ftw (because its a first, he's a minority, and being black is nearly as cool as smoking).

Go obama!

Are you watching the BBC one? That moustachey bastard is being such an arse, and getting ripped in to by both of the people either side of him - though I don't know who any of them are.

And I'm not trusting websites, but I am trusting the live tv 100%.

They are showing projections, and results. On results they go to a guy in that state. So its all pretty reliable I think.

And see, i said N Mexico went to Obama, every website is still saying Mcain that ive seen..

So, was Mexico meant to be Mcains?

And people on american Tv are saying "we know now". Which we do. There is a 0.1% chance he wont be.

Obama is the next president!

w00t!
Live TV is what got the networks in trouble in the 2000 and 2004 elections. They announced projections before the results were really in, and announced wrong. Just because they go to one guy in the state doesn't mean that guy is right. At best, he can speak for a handful of precincts personally... and in no state, not even little old Rhode Island, can you see the entire state from one spot.

I consider the web sites more reliable because you can look at the underlying numbers to get a sense of the validity of the results. Not all web sites, mind you... in fact, the web sites of those very TV stations I don't trust too much. I turned off the CBN page I had up earlier... don't trust it enough to want to follow there.

Although I do agree... looks like it will be President Obama.

I think tomorrow, when its all official and announced and verified, Obama should have an "in your face" ceremony, where he does a cool little victory dance.

That would make me smile

That would be the same Rev. Jesse Jackson who said he wanted to cut Obama's nuts off during the campaign. Oh, and he also used the "N" word in that same conversation, though not in reference to Obama. This coming two years after he publicly requested ALL puplic speakers and celebrities refrain from using that racial slur.

Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ss5lY...eature=related

To his credit, Jackson did also publicly apologize for his comments and said there was no excuse for him to make such offensive remarks.

CBN has been slow to update, have to say I was disappointed about that myself. Still, the lack of precincts reporting in makes numbers and declarations of victory a little shaky. Now I'm gonna go take a break and play some GBA, watch Andrew Zimmern on Bizarre Foods and check a map around midnight.

Again, don't open the good stuff til the win is verified and confirmed. Wouldn't want to waste it if something strange happens.
