I was thinking about purchasing the armor "the great oak" for my ranger. One of the ac bonuses is +4 against giants. What is a "giant"? Does that refer strictly to hill, frost, and fire giants? Or does it include giant kin like ogres and bugbears?

Great question! I have always assumed it was pertaining to anything in the Giant family as categorized by the NWN Toolset. If you click on the listing of monsters on the toolset, and find the giants category, there are more than just giants listed there, so I assume that the game recognizes the other cousins as giant-kin which tells me that the armor protects against them.
Please somebody post if I am wrong!
