THEY THINK IT'S ALL OVER..IT IS NOW !(Kenneth Wolstenhome)

The final stage of demolition, the twin towers at the front of the stadium started yesterday. My many trips to this famous stadium for football matches
have evoked both tears of sadness and joy, more of the latter i'm pleased to say. It's also the place where I saw Live aid, the free nelson Mandela concert, Bruce springsteen, U2, Genesis, Rod Stewart and many others. Although this won't mean a lot to many people i think most football fans will be a little sadder for it. You can see the demolition taking place (not today..sunday )as it happens here...

I,ve been there a couple of times myself, it's a sad sad thing this is happening. Imho this is the holiest place in the world of football. They may build a bigger, more modern stadium, but it won't be the same. It's a big loss.

I've only been there once, but it was hell to get to and just about as bad to get away from. I won't miss it.
