The best character I ever made was a drow wizard named Vel'xunduss. The daylight penalties and +2 level adjustment were payable penalties. By the end of the game, he had a spell resistance around 30 (20 of that natural). It was fun having a spellcaster that could stand in just about anything. I also had a drow paladin with SR 22 in the same party. It was fun to have Vel spray AoE spells while Dro dove in to attack the fray, especially all those times where the enemies appeared out of nowhere.

I don't have a best character but I do have a best (ie. somewhat cheesy) duo. A Dwarven Druid named Pikel and a Human Stormlord of Talos named Alorna. In outdoor areas Druid casts Call Lightning whilst the Cleric casts Static Charge.(Stormlords get this spell as a domain spell). Later on they will be ripping through indoor areas as well when my druid can cast Static Charge too. Cast these spells before you rest if you haven't used them yet. If you are ambushed they will discharge on the ambushers.

Well my best character is a lvl 16 druid with some pretty bad shape shifting, But exept that, the spells are awsome and so is his melee combat, well that's my character!
Thanks! Sacred_Exile!

My most powerful was simply a Human Barbarian...I really enjoy the Barbarian 1/Rogue X/Druid X scout though.

my best is a fighter4/paladinx. He has some useful priest spells, he ownz in fights, and his fighter lvls allow him to have weapon specialization and equip the "little giant" belt (+4 to str)

Svirfneblin Monk, currently level 22. God. Immune to magic, normal weapons, has damage reduction, can hide, can become invisible and can kill with touch. Also has some great stats(26 DEX, 20 STR, 18 CON, 23 WIS 12 INT, 8 CHA) and skills(Hide 24, Move Silently 32). Unkillable. Unsurvivable.

also any wizard with the spell Mordenkainen's Sword ownz. Heck, it's a ranged melee attack that deals twice as much as a normal greatsword and hits most (if not all) magical enemies. what's not there?
