so...where's shadow hart?

I'm wandering around the area where you see all his tracks (in SoU of course) and can't find him. I see the tracks and know they're the Shadow Hart's but I can't find him...sooo...any pointers?

There are several places where you can find shadow hart tracks if your spot skill is high enough, but he won't appear until you've found a few of them. Keep wandering round and he should pop up eventually.

First of all you see tracks, then (after much walking around in detect and sneak mode) you see words saying: you hear an odd sound nearby.
Then supposedly nearby (which it isn't, sometimes on the lower or higher parts of the cliffs...) the shadow hart appears...

I literally "ran into him". I was rummaging through the wilderness and my cursor hit the shadow hart by some odd twist of fate and opened the dialogue window...go figure

That's literally what happened to me as well. 'Twas very strange.

Grr.. that's a good question! I've played the game through once and twice more past that section and not once has it become visible to me, and only once did I get the 'you hear a strange sound' msg.
