Yesterday, when I cleaned up in my games, I found IwD and HoW in the big pile of games.
Then I remebered that I've never played it before. So, is it any good? Shall I start playing it? Will I be disappointed after playing BG2 over and over? Thanks. see ya! |

Errrrrr, There Are Highs And Lo's Of This Game... The High's Are Pretty Much Everything.
The Low's Would Be: No NPC's : You Create Your Own Party. Not As Much Free Will: You Go Where Your Told Basically. There Is No Grassland Screens To Train Up On Like BG1. But Its Still A Good Game! Enjoy!

I think you will like it more than BG . For ye shall meet the icey shures of the Icewind Dale and Forges of the great Dwarves Tell my cousin Bruenor to give ye a greeting lad .
P.S. There is a grassland planes in IWD, Kuldahar. And some of Severed Hand are pretty grassy.

Sir Exxon,
Download the Trials of the Luremaster expansion as well if you do decide to play IWD/HOW. It has a patch which corrects some things that the last HOW patch doesn;t fix and it adds a very challenging side quest.
