About 8 years ago, I bleached my hair. It was long, and I was quite a punk (rocker that is ). Well, I worked with this Mexican guy at Denny's who started callin me "Oso Blanca" meaning "white bear". Well, a few months later, I shaved my hair off, so the "Blanca" droped and it was just "Oso" after that. Then I got married and had kids. My wife has gotten the kids calling me "Oso Daddy" or just "Oso". Anyway, I love it. It suits me. If you noticed in the past, I started an acount here for my dad with handle "Oso". He never gets on here, but anyway, I could'nt think of a name for him, so I just called him that. Thats my story, and I am sticken to it!

Everyone at rowing is given a nickname by the others, I ended up with "Robot" because of my capacity for pain (seeing how long you can place your hand over a lighter flame and stuff like that) and my rigid body movements after a training session (my arms and legs really ache ). Its not as bad as the poor guy who ended up with M.C Nugget

The only real life nickname I have, everyone else just use abbriviations of my name.

I won't go into my username nicknames

when I was a kid I spent all my money on model railroading. (HO scale trains) and all my friends called me H.O. and then after A year or so they shortened it to just "H".
After I got out of the military I spent 10 years as A private Investigator and Bounty Hunter. All the people I knew then called "Deputy DOG" that was until I made my first Million then, my best friends called me "Mega Man" and "Mr.Money".
The one name that has stuck with me since the Military mostly because of my size and strength is "Mongo" given to me by my best friend in 1976.
I was helping My best friend and his wife move from his old apartment to a new bigger apartment across town. There were about 7 or eight of us helping with the move. The new apartment was on the second floor and my friends had this large heavy refridgerator. There was barly enough room for two people to carry it up the stairs, because of the weight it was taking three people to move it and that wasn't working because of the room needed to get it around the corner.
That is when I showed up with the second truck loaded with their stuff. They kept trying over and over to get this monster 25 cubic foot fridge up the stairs and around the corner half way up.
I was sitting on a bench laughing at them when my best friends dad said OK strong man you think you can do better. I looked at him still laughing and said "YES! Every body stand back" With that I walked over to the Fridge threw A furniture strap around it, then stood with my back against it. I grabbed the strap pulled the refridgerator on to my back and walked up the stairs turned the corner and went up the second flight and into the apartment and then set it in the kitchen.
After I got the strap off and his wife pulled the strapping tape off the doors to keep them shut we opened the fridge so she could put things in it. To everbodys suprise(except his wife) it was packed from bottom to top with boxes full of kitchen supplies. Her mother was there and said "Its full of stuff" and everybody started to laugh. That's when My best friend said "it took Mongo the human Fork lift to get that thing in here". The name Mongo stuck and every time something heavy needs to be moved I get this Phone call, "Hello MONGO. What are you doing this weekend"?

I've had too many nicknames, most of which I was given by others to take the piss (mostly friendly) and which I don't wanna list here

Some of the ones I can list, they are all pretty random actually:

1. My mate at middle school used to call me Pieface cos I always used to read the Beano and it was the character name that sounded the most stupid to him I guess.

2. Later, in secondary school I used to be called Titan on the football pitch cos I was one of the biggest and used to shoulder barge people out of the way

3. At some stage I also used to be called Kahn by some of my mates because when we used to play Worms loads, my main worm was always something-Kahn - cos Kahn sounded so warlike - being based on Genghis Kahn. One guy even had me in his mobile phone-book as "Kahn" and whenever I rung him he used to be like "Oh it's Kahn" and everyone else was like "WTF?" LOL

4. One of the ones I don't like was used in the first 2 years of university: my first name begins with L, I like rap and I'm from Hungary, hence people thought it would be funny to call me "LL Goulash J" guess it's quite funny in hindsight.

5. I've also been called Louie Armstrong again because of the L in the first name and because people took the piss that I spent a lot of time in the gym trying to get strong (and somewhat succeeding )

6. One of my fellow rap fans stores all his friend's phone numbers as rapper's names - he is that into rap His favourite rappers are his best mates, in his phone I was "2Pac" and he would call me that sometimes LOL!

7. I don't want to list what I've been called by girls

so as you can see the randomnity is there!

Everyone calls me Commie (for some reason... ). I used to be called Floppy because of the whole hippy look I had going on with the hair and everything, but now the hair is gone so I no longer look like the Dude quite as much. Frankly I was never a great fan of the name in the first place...

Actually I'm going through a phase of being called Michael again, which is weird as no one has called me that for at least 4 years, and even then it was only teachers who used it. Its not something I've decided on myself, people have just all of a sudden started calling me that.
