I have been experiencing some setbacks in the Dragoneye caves as follows:
1. When I spoke to Mandal, he showed me the wyvern cave and eventually disappeared. However, I had visited the wyvern cave earlier and possibly found the one and only 'mandrake root' I have. Anyhow, I only have one and there are no more to be found in the cave or lab. Should the modified root needed for diluted histachii brew be labeled as 'modified' (i have no mention of finding the right root in journal entries). Talking to Neero, he still asks whether I have found the modified mandrake. I also fear, that I somehow treated Mandal quest incorrectly as i went to 3rd level and retrieved the sword from golem before even knowing about the whole Mandal-missing-his-sword-thing. For example, I might have sold his sword to Nathaniel. What is the description of Mandal's sword as I have now bought all the swords that Nathaniel had (and tried placing them on the ground or in the chest)? Confusingly enough, i vaguely recall 'party has lost an item' when Mandal started to show the way he fled the enemy and threw the root into the cavern. 2. I have never seen 'D’hey-Jazzerion' who is supposed to repair the lever. At this moment the southern lever does not work and lever north from it delivers damage. Does he only appear after I possess the modified root? So far I have not even been able to create potions from wyvern stingers either. My alchemy skill is 23 (16). Looking for some inspiration.. |

1) Mandal's sword is the Sword of Myrlock Vales. Take that back to Nheero, and things should work out. (BTW, did you find the real mandrake root in the lab? Should be on the center selectable table.)
2) Once Nheero acknowledges that you have the sword, Dhey-Jazzerion should show up and you can play with the mandrake roots and the wyvern stingers. Your Alchemy skill is fine. 3) Welcome to Ironworks!

Alright, then I have not sold the sword to Nathaniel. It looks like I never presented the sword to Nheero, but just took it straight to Mandal who then showed me the place. What to do?
I have one mandrake root, which I apparently took from the alchemist lab. |

If you didn't find the "modified mandrake root" in the big wyvern's lair, you're in trouble. I suggest going back there first and looking very carefully all over the place to see if it might be there. It will definitely say "modified" in the description so you can't mistake it for something else.
If it isn't there, then you cam activate the cheat console from the separate config program, and use that to give yourself the root. I don't recall the code for the root offhand, but if you need it, I can look it up for you. |

The modified mandrake root is definitely not in the cave. The situation with Nheero is that when I talk to him, he will say
'It is good that you have found your way back to me. Does the modified mandrake root share the same fortune?' -implying, that he is after the root, not the sword. My answer possibilities are two-way; either i can just say 'no, i will find it' or 'not yet, tell me more about Mandal and the story about the sword..' -> if i do the latter, he will explain the tale, and i can answer 'we will find the sword and return it'. Well, I suppose at this point I could use the code for the modified mandrake root Hopefully that will push the story further and not leave Nheero wonder about the sword. |

Yeah, it's really the root that Nheero wants. The code is 61GENMM and that should put the root in your inventory. Remember to talk to Nheero again after you have it.

Thanks for your answers. Creating the modified mandrake root solved the whole issue. Cheers.
