LOL, i just completed the game with my wild mage, and i've never laughed (and cried) so much in one game!

For example; in the final battle against Melissan i was fighting her for the 2nd time, and already i was running out of mage spells... when suddenly a Horrid Wilting spell refreshed all my mages spells like he'd just rested! Needless to say, i was extatic!

Other times however, like turning yourself into a wolf instead of casting stoneskin when fighting a pack of fire giants is NOT AT ALL HELPFUL!!!

And of course, the infamous "sex change" effect made some apperances...

So whats everyone else's exploits wth wild mages like?

Well:

It snowed in the middle of a desert,
I was held when I tried to cast stoneskin,
Pretty patterns that do nothing appeared when I tried to cast Dragonbreath
An fire bolt spell nearly killed a dragon,

.....it's like randomn game where you are not in control

There's a 5% chance with every spell you cast that it will have a wild surge, which can be benificial....or not....

Unless you cast Nahals Reckless Dweomer, which means the spell to try to cast will have 100% of surging

Yet another moment of brilliance from wild magic: Finger of Death getting an "area effect" surge !

OKI, sorry for not staying truly to the topic, but I was to cast a spell with Minsc, summon insects I think it was, and her turned into a wolf!!! I got well, really in despair since I was fighting alot of Devils at the time and well, suddenly I saw that Minsc was gone, but not grey and when I choosed him, I got this speede wolf running (hasted by another character) Looked really stupid...

Is this a bug or is Minsc supposed to be somekind of wild-ranger??

probably the only strange experience i had with wild magic was when i was fighting some guys in a bar, and a cow fell on them instead of an acid arrow! also, a horrid wilting got double damage when i was fighting a group of fire giants along with human helpers, so that was quite a nice boost, considering Imoen had another wilting spell coming up behind that one!

and wolfgir, were you in the maze level of WK? cuz theres some parts in that lvl that do wild magic...
