We are entering our third week of sunshine (which is almost unheard of even in the summer) and I am hoping for a heatwave of 1976 proportions this year!
It was mother's day today here in the UK, my parents came round and we went to Waltham Abbey, which is an old Romanesque building set in pleasant surroundings about 20 minutes drive from my flat. We then had a cream tea (pot of tea, scone, jam, and cornish clotted cream - yummy - and a very traditionally english thing to do on a sunny afternoon), then after my parents had gone home I went to a friend's place for dinner and wine which was nice. My dad baked me a swiss roll (his speciality) for my birthday (which is next Wednesday - I'm going to be 32 before anyone asks!) and my mum gave me some money to spend on summer clothes (so fingers crossed for that heatwave!) Apparently miniskirts are 'in' this year and I think I can just about get away with it. So I'm going clothes shopping tomorrow If I can find anything I like - I'm so fussy. I have a definite list of likes and dislikes. Alternatively I may just buy fabric and go visit my tailor. Decisions decisions.

Hey all! I'm off to bed in a minute.
Epona, that sounds like a yummy feast! Your birthday prezzies sound pretty neat, too! You'll have to tell us what you end up with for new clothes!

Snow in Springtime? Yuck. It was beautiful here, this weekend, as well. Got a lot of outdoor chores done. Goodnight, Ironworks, I am for bed.

Good morning Ironworks
Whose up for coffee? It was rainy today and dark coming home thanks to daylight saving. 2questions for our N.American cafe dwellers. 1 Do you guys have a aprils fool day, I belive in south America they celabrate it on the 28 of december. 2. Do you guys in U.S.A. have daylight saving? Quote:

Mornin Wellard I'll take a cup, thanks.
Edit: 1. Yes, 2. Yes. There is actually a couple places in the states that does not recognise daylite savings. Wierd. Mostly we do. And yes, we absolutly do recognise April fools day. BTW, congrats on figuring out your control problem... [ 03-31-2003, 06:16 AM: Message edited by: LordKathen ]
