Help!!

I am trying to do a full install of Bg2 but it keeps asking for a disc 5!

I seem to recall that someone has had this bug before, and I hope someone has a solution for it....

Also, one of the reasons why I'm reinstalling is this: In my boyfriends game, the game kept freezing whenever he tried to go to the Bridge District to do Jan's Quest... he has been to the Area before, but that bug just kept crashing the game as soon as he traveled to the Bridge district!! Of course the latest patch was installed, and I have no idea what caused this. Does anyone know?

BTW I have three GB of free space available, that's enough for a full install right?

I had a similar problem with IWD. It was a corruption of the disc, I figured the bit that was shot and Ziroc kindly sent me the single file that I required. It sorted the problem in no time. Can you narrow it down to a file name?

Charlie, no....I have no idea how to do that....
I was installing at 37% when it asked for disc two. When I put it in it immediately asked for disc 3. I put in disc three and it asked for 4, then for 5 I have no idea what went wrong...
Was your IWD problem similar to what I'm describing?

Was your personal game ok at the bridge district and are you playing from the same discs?.........or are you playing using differing discs?

No sorry love I can't. Those two posts started life as one so I'm not sure what happened there either. My problems weren't on "install" but actually within the game itself. I wonder if it might be better (or possible) to try to correct a loading problem as opposed to an installation one.........if that makes sense.

What do you mean by different discs? I use only one copy of the game if that's what you're asking...
But anyway the Bridge district thing is not really an acute problem, as I will first need to get the game installed...

Does anyone else recognise this problem and/or provide me with a solution

Melusine? Did you ever download special add ons? Maybe that's what it's looking for? I know there was one that had special vendors and items that many people downloaded.

Not much help, am I?! Sorry! Hope you work it out! Try un-installing and re-install it?
