I've got some credit saved up on my EB card (Electronic Boutiques gaming store) and I only have enough for one game. Which do you recommend would be a better buy? Thanks for your help.
PS - I think my PC specs are: 866 Intel, WinME, 516MB RAM, 40GB hard drive, and ATI 128 Rage Pro. I hope this system will suffice. [ 03-29-2002, 07:31 AM: Message edited by: Kaneida ] |

Hmm... probably Dungeon Siege if you like action-rpgs more, and NWN if you like more rpg-rpgs more (or really love D&D/want a game w/ 3rd Edition rules). They're both going to be very good games, I think, so I can't really say which is better... personal preference would be NWN, but *shrug* Hmm... with luck Ziroc will post, I think he knows more about the games than I do, so he could probably give a better suggestion... *shrugs helplessly*

I believe I remember Ziroc actually saying that he was favoring Dungeon Siege. Yet, NWN hasn't even made it out of BETA testing yet...so you have a while before it comes out. Don't miss Dungeon Siege by waiting another 6 months on NWN!!!

Well lets see...
Dungeon Siege - Teaser video looks great, looks like solid single and multiplayer support, should be pretty solid reliability wise (whatever I can say bad about microsoft... their games have been very good quality), and will be ON THE SHELVES in about 10 days. NWN - Teaser video looks great... but it's NOT a capture of gameplay... more like a cutscene. The video they did put out of gameplay (a while ago) looked pretty good... but not as good as DS IMO. Info about the singleplayer has been thin... but the multiplayer support looks AWESOME (groundbreaking if it works out). Reliability should be good (based on other games by the same house). And it will be on the shelves... SUMMER... MAYBE... If I were you I'd get DS and figure that by the time NWN actually is RELEASED you'll have the cash to buy it too. |

I think you should get them both, in this order-
- DS -NWN! NWN is scheduled for June or July, so that means that is still can be postponed one or teo more years *sigh* so get DS in the meantime
