Appetizer, Its more like 1 saltine cracker while your waiting for the 5-course meal that is the 2 towers.
Im sorry, but I found the first HP movie to be only mildly entertaining, and only because of Hagrid. The Books arent too bad though!

The first Harry Potter movie was excellent but cannot be compared to Lord of the Rings. Although they are both fantasy, they are very different! [img]smile.gif[/img]

I thought both movies were outstanding... and saw both at the theaters at least 3 times. I would avoid comparisons myself though... it'd be like comparing a perfectly cooked porterhouse to a big loaded Ice Cream Sunday. [img]smile.gif[/img] Bother were just great.
