"DID YOU THINK YOU WOULD GET AWAY WITH IT!!"
The man and the two women in front of the inn finally entered. As they walked through the crowd, people quickly moved away from them to clear a path. Nonetheless, the man still mamaged to trip over a halfling boy, which resulted in a chorus of laughs from the costumers. But when the leader of the band turned his icy stare away from Grubz and looked over the crowd, a heavy silence fell. The six troublemakers seemed to have little in common, except for their fiery red hair and a blue ribbon tied around their left arms. By now, four of them had reached Grubz, while the other two were busy loading their missile weapons. All the while, Mitsos kept his eye on Grubz. There was something about that ogre that seemed familliar, but he couldn't put his fnger on it. He had seen ores before. Fought with them or against them. He, Mitsos, was the one who slew the great ogre-mage Zurgol in single combat. Mitsos was a man to be feared, but Mitsos could also be bought. He considered his options for a moment. He could stay where he was, waiting until the inevitable fight would be over, or he could intervene. But if he did that, whose side should he chose? The orge looked as if he had hardly any money to spare, and the men and women with the blue ribbons probably didn't want his help in this. In the end, he decided... ------------------ The last arrow of Legolas kindled in the air as it flew, and plunged burning into the heart of a great wolf-chieftain. All the others fled. -J.R.R. In the end, he decided the stranger at the bar would have the
most reason to fatten his pockets. "Err..I think this will have to wait." Mitro mumbled to the barkeep as he twisted the ring around on his finger. After a few seconds, with no response, he twisted again. *Here we go again* he thought to himself as he noticed the two archers on the balcony draw up to aim. "nose fere." Grubz said as he noticed the two aiming his way. Before anyone could react, the ogre grabbed the closest blue- banded woman and hurled her into the support beam. With a sickening thud, followed by an ear splitting crack, the support beam came crashing down. The crossbowman fell head first. Screamed and then fell silent. The force of the impact left his neck and back twisted at an inhuman angle. His buddy with the bow fell and crashed into the table the Mitsos was sitting at. As the table splintered, Mitsos rolled to the side. The archer quickly recovered and jumped to his feet. "Now you die." Joln, the red headed giant of a man screamed as he charged Grubz. Just as Joln approached, Mitro's hand subconsciously entended and two bolts of black shot into Joln's back. Two smoldering holes appeared in the man's armor and he immediately turned to face his newest attacker. The smelly one could wait. "WAIT!! It wasn't me, well, it was...I can explain.." Mitro frantically pleaded. Knowing what was about to happen, Mitro reached at his belt for a weapon. That's when the next misfire happened. Imagine the look on the face of the archer as he peered at his target. One hand securely webbed to his belt. A blank, dumbfounded stare on his face. *That's never happened before.* Mitro said to himself. He closed his eyes just as the archer drew back the string on his bow......
