Just thought I'd put this up...
Thanks to all of you who prayed and wrote me and sent good wishes to my fiance after he broke his leg at the rodeo... The surgery went good, they installed a rod in his femur, and took alot of the scar tissue out of an old incision on his knee, so hopefully after all the physical therapy he should have 10% more range of motion in his knee. (from a previous injury). He is up on crutches now, tho he can't put more than the weight of his leg on it. His femur broke in a spiral break, with a large chunk (called a butterfly break) to the side that will take at least 8 months to heal enough for him to walk completely on it. ( ironically, the knee brace he was wearing saved his knee, but broke his leg) After all of this, I thought I would give a couple of warnings to keep this from happening to someone else... The floor he slipped on was concrete, and had not been roughed up so it would not be slick when wet. Please be careful on concrete floors, especially when they are wet. The initial injury, which has left him permantely disabled was to his knee and lower leg. He was jumping on a trampoline, and his knee seperated while in the air, and when he came down his leg severed at the knee . The only thing that held his lower leg on was the skin. That was four years ago. Please take extreme care when on a trampoline. And do not leave children unsupervised when on one. If it hadn't been for the friends there, he would've lost his leg. Again, thanks for all the support!! best wishes, GreyWolf aka Lisa [ 06-29-2002, 11:26 AM: Message edited by: TAOWolf ]

Thanks, ya'll he really appreciates it and so do I...
It's gonna be a long road to recovery (AGAIN), but it will be worth it.....

Tao! My prayers for his successful recovery! I know it's going to be a while but having your support is a real plus!
Your warnings about trampolines and slick floors are a good ones, thanks for thinking of others while you go through a pretty traumatic time of your own!
