WHAT IS THE DEAL??????????????? Ok I use elixir's of health potion to a RANGER with 18 constitution. do you think that this was a glitch or is there some new acids out on the markets of Faerun?

Was it something that needed to be identified? Did the item description say that it looks odd?

If the answer is yes to any of the above, then you just made your Ranger drink a cursed potion.

Potions are the only items that can never be fully identified. However most are not cursed and the ones that are have something in their description saying "the colour looks strange" or " a strange odour".
In BG series the cursed potions also used to look different so after a while you could easily recognise the cursed ones.
Also, another way to recognize cursed ones is that they dont stack with good ones.

What's the problem? Is he getting intoxicated all the time? Does he show up late for battles, wearing the same armor he had on yesterday?

Laws regarding proper labeling of products hasn't really catched on in Faerun yet, so always ask for a receipt when buying.

And before drinking suspicious potions, make sure your insurance covers any potential harmful effects.
