I'd like my monk to be resonably powerful not to far into the game without cheatin. I've heard people say you can kill a dragon in one quivering palm hit?.Do they advance fast?.
Also need help with my group. I got this idea: Me(Monk) Keldorn Amomen Jan Could I ge hier'Darlis? I don't know how good he is?. Also Nalia seems a little lame. Is she a good mage. And why is she dueled to a thief?. I don't like Jaherie she gets on my nerves and always dies. I'll do the harper stuff and get rid of her. Warby |

Monks level up at the same rate as clerics (reasonably fast) but the quivering palm doesn't come in until level 14 or 15, so you will have to wait a while for that. As for Nalia, she is the closest you will find to a "pure" mage in the game. Her thieving skills are just an added bonus.
Hope that helps!

Edwin get +2 spells for each level cause that amulet he wears. Give him ring of wizardry and acuity and he's a god. Staff of magi and cloak of non detection too. He's also cool. Nalia's a bit stuck up, Bit like my ex. What about Hier'Darlis then?,whats he like in SOA?.

Actually, I've never used Edwin, so I wouldn't know. I don't really care for evil characters, so I generally stick to neutrals and goods. It's quite possible he is better, but I wouldn't know.

I don't really like Haer'Dalis because his hit points are very low and the only thing that he is good at is fighting. Also,
SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You have to do this great big quest for him, including freeing him from a mage in the temple sewers, and going to a diffrent plane that is VERY difficult to beat.

the toughie in that quest was the air elementals and the demon attacking at once. I had to use up all of my rod of resurrection for that battle.
