I give the book of Mythals to Orrick(you get the book in the Severed Hand) He says he will give me a reward but all i get is something about a missing Link????? Anyone know what he gives me or whats wrong?

He gave me a cloak, check your inventory again on the top character is my only advice. Otherwise you may have gotten screwed. Its no great item anyway

I think perhaps it is a random treasure item. As I recall though it wasn't worth the effort, except for the Exp.

Have you checked the floor ? Maybe your inventory was full when he gave you the item... Anyway, that thing of the missing link sounds like a bug or something.
He might give you one of 2 or 3 different items... one of them is that cloak... you say its not a great item ?!?!?!?  SPOILER - - - - +3 to AC and +2 to saving throws is not good for you ?? Also...that reward was broken in the shipped version of the game. (I know because it happened to me as well.) Make sure you have applied the latest patch.

Umm, Hello? The missing link in Orrick's Mythal quest is a known flaw in the game. Almost everyone's game has it. The patch fixed that problem. Have you got the patch?
