It's the semis of the worldcup, it's not just a footballgame, it's so much more than that. I don't get people who don't get that.

The world cup first captivated me back in the 70s for the strong feelings people had for thier country. It was as if the fans were out there playing and all would be right with the world if thier team won the cup, maybe just for a day. It is a beautiful experiance to see these people feel so proud of their country that it breaks their heart when they win and it breaks their heart to see other teams loose. There is such respect for eachother at the World Cup, if only the world could act this way all the time.

I totaly understand how it makes them cry, I would never cry if the U.S. lost because I never expect us to make it out of the first round, but it is still a proud feeling to see the boys play on that stage.

So France-Italy it is, a classic. My money is on Italy, but Zidane seems to be peaking at the right moment. Should be an interesting match.

I put my money on France instead. Who would ever thought that they would make this far. Will this be a repeat of Euro 2000?

If they take the field like they did today, it might not be a good place to have one's money. Then again, there is a bit-o-luck in soccer.

hmmm... I'd be more interested in Saudis (who have won the Asian cup 3 times, and have the best record) than say Togoans or Angolians. [/QUOTE]considering Adebayor... I wouldnt.
