I just upgraded this forum software to v6.2.1.1 and with it is a new feature, you can 'post' a Poll! And make it anything you'd like!

As the lone dissenter (so far), I'd like to note my objections. For one, the "real time poll" feature has a lot of inflexibility in the answers, as several people are commenting on in the "age" poll. For another, I enjoy reading the polls, and one without preset answers is a lot more interesting than the ones with; our average poll here allows a lot more creativity on the respondent's part. Finally, I like seeing how various people responded (ie, "so-and-so" reports hating all vegetables, and "john doe" says he hates his mother's cooking). I don't know if this format is any easier or harder to design, but if all polls go to this format, I'll probably not bother reading them much longer.
Just one very humble opinion! I like numbers, but I'm definitely not a statistics queen. Give me creativity any day! |
