Donut, a question here. Are you a big supporter of Bush?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! LMFAO! you are joking right? no, i would think that donut could, at best, be called tepid towards bush, and thats a stretch. the fact that the president of the US is the single most powerful man in the world is simple reality. kudos to donut for seeing that at least.

Except for any Pentagon advisers or Military/Industrial guys he's at odds with, and Cabinet ministers... All of whom can exert total, or near total control over a president at any time. The last one to overtly disobey was murdered in Dallas, TX.

Oblivion I think you went off on a conspiracy tangent. I have worked in the Military Industrial complex and while I was a PEON I was present when the "Big Guys" were discussing policy on a number of occasions...it's not a cabal...really. A lot of the Top Generals and Corporate guys really are very patriotic and they take the jobs seriously and DO consider the President and the JCS as the leaders. Now sure I was only around for a few years..but still, you would pick up onthings if there were really that kind of...over bearing control from the corporate secotr...hell look at Boeing right now...they are in Jeopardy of going under completely if they can't work out this Tanker issue that they got themselves into by trying to go against the rules.

Just to give some background. I worked for SAIC as a Consultant...mostly on Marine Corps Contracts.

Sure it is. It's a light-hearted and harmless attempt to take our minds off the depressing things we normally argue about.
