I ve seen a few posts around with people are saying there is to many magic items in BG. So I would like to ask what items you would take if you could only take: 2 rings since you have to spots for that.
1 Helm 1 cloak 1 set of boots 1 girdle 1 necklace 1 set gloves 1 piece of armor 1 sword 1 bow any kind of arrow and if you take no shield one extra weapon. You have to start the game with these weapons and not be-able to use anything else. Through out the game. What would you take??? And do you think this would still make you to powerful for the game or do you think there would be some kind of balance there. I was thinking of trying this with a solo pc. |

That would really depend on the type of character that you were playing, be it a fighter, or a mage, etc.
For a fighter I would take: 2 Rings: Ring of Gaxx / Ring of Regeneration ( Maybe swap regen for earth control because of the AC Bonus ) 1 Helm: The Helm of Balduran ( HP/AC/THAC0 Bonus ) 1 Cloak: Cloak of Mirrors ( Spell reflection ) 1 Boots: The Boots of Speed 1 Girdle: The Girdle of Frost Giant Strength 1 Necklace: Tough choice, either Greenstone Amulet ( for Anti-Mind Flayer action or the Amulet of Magical Resistance ) 1 Set of Gloves: Gauntlets of Weapon Mastery 1 Piece of Armour: Pride of the Legion 1 Sword: Either the Warblade or the SoulReaver, based on characters alignment Anyways that is what I would take for a fighter. I think in the beginning you would be far too powerful, since alot of this equipment you dont get until late in the game. |
