My cat Pixie. She isn't good.
She's sixteen, had teeth taken out earlier in the year or last year, and I think she had kidney trouble. She was fine yesterday, but today... it almost looks like she's having trouble passing waste, and the carpets wet but I know it's not dribble.

Everyone's worried about her, and we're taking her to the vet at 5 pm england time.

Does anyone know what's wrong with her?

DS

Err... Sorry for wasting your time, but she was just constipated badly.

She sorted herself out.

When next you see your vet, ask them about a digestive-aid enzyme to supplement your cat's food. It's sold in the states as "Prozyme", and may be available in England in some form. Basically it helps them better digest their food and thereby get more value from it. I've several cats and it has worked wonders for all of them.
Best of luck

Glad the Kitty is ok! The VET told us when Choc was stopped up to give him Pumpkin pie mix (in the cans). And damn sure worked, and quick!

Yup, my vet says that works well! I never got a cat to eat it, but one sure loved margarine and that worked in a pinch!

My two kitties now adore Petromalt so I have no problems with their being 'stopped up'

Hey, our vet told us the same thing for weight loss- mix it in the wet food our fat lil kitties are addicted too.

They are still fat now after 3 months, but the good news is one of them has a lung tumor that isnt getting worse!!! woohooo!! After getting lung-clearing medication she actually gained four pounds! doh and she was supposed to be losing weight. Well at least she can breathe okay now.

thanks for yr support guys, Pixie appreceates it (SP?). We've got that stuff, i think, but as we have to leave her alone at night, anything could happen. She's been on her own and gaining weight ever since gran died.

Cheers!
