Situation: You work with a small group of people, roughly 25 - 30 day in and day out, and have a good working relationship.....Some of them are just professional relations and some are considered friends.

On 5/14 our company is given an invite to pre-screen The Matrix: Reloaded
Only you and one other person in the office isn't told.

You find out where they all went when they get back and tell you how the movie was....what do you say to them?

Edit: Didn't notice them all leaving as I was engrossed in my work, inside my cubbie.

Check your deodorant?

Seriously? I'd ask someone what happened. Either you'll be putting them on the spot and get the answer or you'll find it wasn't done on purpose and be able to move on from there.

Hmm sounds like they dissed you man. They can't really say they forgot about you cos if some of them are friends, they would have noticed your absence due to sheer lack of you being there to talk to.

Just do what Homer Simpson recommends: "Just squeeze your rage into a bitter little ball and release it at an appropriate time, just like the time daddy hit the referee with the whiskey bottle. Remember that?

But seriously, they could have forgot or something. If I was going to a pre-screening of The Matrix I wouldn't care about anything else.

*checks calendar* Crap! 7 more days to go until it's released here.

You say nothing! You and that other person go rent the movie "Office Space" and compare the characters to people you work with while drinking beers !

Seriously though I would enquire about what happened that you were missed. I would think that people would have been told through some sort of e-mail distribution list. It probaly had something to do with the way the message was communicated not that thay avoided not telling you.

Yeah ..Cloudy, I did ask a coupleof people...the responses were along the lines of "oh..hey man..I wasnt in charge of letting people know." And of course most people did not come back to work, so I will have to wait till tomorrow to ask my friends.

Yeah Vaskez It does look that way..but I am completlely shocked...nothing like this has happened before. The other person who was "not notified" is a female and she is comletley devastated...she seems to feel like it is a "message" that no one likes her. I told her it was probably just some fluke....but man you have to wonder.

Ahh well I still have my tickets for tomorrow and will be going with my sweetie

Whoa, that sucks... talk about being left out. I would tell you what my reaction would be, but it might be inappropriate here.

Sorry to hear that Magik! I can see how your other colleague would feel left out - I would! I think the worst thing isn't that they went without you, though that's pretty low, but that they came back and told you all about it! How insensitive and thoughtless! Unless they didn't ask you because they thought you'd already seen it that is really horrible behaviour
