One of the massive tornados referred to happened very near Reeka's house. It didn't touch her, but she knew people who lost their homes.
As for the rest, I've rarely heard more utter rubbish in my life, but it is the way of human beings to search for religious overtones (or indeed, undertones) to relate to any memorable event, particularly when there is an agenda being pushed, or an issue at stake. It's sad, in a way, because it invariable clouds the issues insead of clarifying them, and brings strong emotion into an area where there is too much of that already There ya go, a post with the old Bardan-Approved Cynical Stamp(tm) [ 05-13-2003, 04:02 PM: Message edited by: Bardan the Slayer ]

Being a student of Jung and a beliver of meaningful coincidence, also known as, syncronicity, I will not wholy disregard these strange sets of cirumstances as lacking meaning just because of the fact that the way they are portrayed ie. purposeful divine wrath or intervention. That is considering all these "facts" are accurate.
I could interpret these coincidences to be a sign that the U.S. needs to pay more attention at home than abroad. "God" is telling us to clean our own house before telling our neighbors what to do with theirs. I dont really believe this mind you, I just made it up on the fly.

Some very nice info there stormy! Whether the events have actually occured, I am sure I am more than able to do some research on and find that out. However, although some may not share my point of view, I find this interesting and highly satisfying to read. What opinion I wish to have on it afterwards depends on my experience with events and life I suppose but this does not mean that I have to disregard it altogether. I try to take in as much from life as I can. Be it real or fake, true or false, I believe it is up to me to find out through proper research or experience. I preffer not to jump to conclusions proving something false because it may sound so to my ears, or agreeing with it because it seems the right thing to do. Proper study of events is it's own answer. As far as the biblical side of it, then I guess it depends on your beliefs. Once again I can not jump to conclusions when I know not whether it is real. This may be something I cannot learn from study or experience but just because I may or may not believe in God, or do/do not practice any religion does not make them right or wrong.
Anyway, just letting you know that the little bit of info you posted was a nice bit of read and I for one look forward to any future posts of this type. |

Interesting peice.
I am not saying I believe or dis believe in syncronicity (sp), but all you really have to do is open up a history book on the middle east and see the Israel has been through some pretty hard times. It seems like they should be one of the lost civlizations of history with all the conquests, holocausts, land taking and such that they have been through. But anywho.

Hm...I am unsure of the matter with the article, but I'm kinda drawn to all the other disasters that must have happened to th other 200 or so countries at the same time as other things happened. I mean, someone could have farted in Australia, and 5 minutes after that moment a rainstorm could have hit in Europe somewhere. Just a little unstable, the article's theory.
