Allright I'm planning to get Warcraft III for cristmas,but I have a question,does the version you get based off the box art
i.e.:If I got the night elf box would I get the night elves only?I need help...

Nope. The art on the box has nothing to do with the contents. IMHO though, the Night Elf box art is the coolest

I think the fights are a little too quick and decisive, the groups a bit too small and although the upkeep system is a nice idea, it's not that well worked out.
Although it's not all that bad, I think I like Age of Empires 2 slightly better. Haven't tried AOE 3 yet.

This game rocks! The heroes add a nice twist to the game. Usually Blizzard's RTS games focus on large armies and swarms but in WarCraft III the hero is usually the key controller of the outcome of a battle. The storylines are masterfully written by Blizzard's talented programmers. It also has MANY cool cinematics. This game is definately one I would recommend. Even though I have a copy, given to me from a friend of my brother who works at Blizzard, I'm saving up to get the collector's edition for Christmas. I'd give this game 100%. A must-have.

I have only one complaint about WC III, not long enough! Great game, great story, fantastic battles! Could have been longer though.
