Thanks for posting that information, Loumistro! I never go to General Discussion so would have missed it!
Don't know why Ziroc should feel he should ask us, but that is nice! I hope he takes the offer! Wyv |

That is what everyone has been telling him to do. It isn't like he can't change the name. I mean it is still the same site. who cares what the name is.

And bless you for the "only once signatures"!! One of the reasons I do not go to General Discussions is the plethera of signatures (and the spam and the nonsense and the outbreaks of flames - I get the digest version in the Moderators forum and even that is too much for me sometimes! lol!) I like it here! We've got such a great board. People are friendly and helpful, witty and interesting! Yay W&W Board!!! |

Maybe it's just me, but I simply can't fathom this scenario. Would a company - even one of the top 10 in the world - really pay almost 4 million for a name? That seems like an awful lot of money to me.

Imagine this then Jendyll (found it in the news, Yes a true story): Stockholm wanted to make a site about their city to promote tourism. The name they wanted was of course stockholm.com. The bad news was, that that name was already taken by a porn company !!! How much do you think they are willing to spend on that name, lol!!
