For those of you who don't know it makes a near invincible angel that runs around killing everything in about 2-3 hits while it shouts "I shall prevail." Oh yeah, the angel has several(10 I think) level 7 Cleric spells in addition to several others and it is permanently "Improved Hasted". My solo mage used one Planetar to clear out the streets of Suldenesselar, one on Nezydramanyt, and a third on the party of Iron Golemn, Mage, Rakshasha, and something else that guards the temple.

The only reason I didn't use it on Irenicus is because last time I used summonse vs him they got stuck and I lost the ability to use summons.

This thread belongs in the Throne of Bhaal forum since planetars doesn't appear in SoA without ToB installed.

Well, that's because it's an ability meant for ToB. That's like giving a sorcerer Abi-Dalzhim's Horrid Wilting and then saying that the Nashkel Mines are easy. Just wait until the lower levels of Watcher's Keep, and the final boss of ToB

DID YOU SAY POINTLESS???
Just kiddin'!

Well, I couldn't diasgree more!
It was meant for ToB! Anyway, unless you cheated in the first place, it is almost impossible to start getting HLA's in SoA, as you would have to do almost every quest in SoA!!!!!!

Has anyone else noticed Deva's are just rubbish Planetars???

It is easy to get past lvl 18 in SoA. One time I've managed it in Chapter 2, but most times I go past the limit in the Underdark.

And I agree, Devas are so weak. One single Planetar could easily wipe out a whole party of Devas. The Elemental Princes are quite cool, though.

I used the PI/CC trick of the sorcerer to create +/- 30 planetars to clear Suldanesselar ... quite the sight i must say

What's the difference between a deva and a planetar except for the fact that they're summoned by different classes?
