Memnoch, dont you think it would be a good idea to make a "sticky" thread for "How to beat Firkragg?" and "How to beat Kangaax?" topics? They are the most commonly asked questions and if someone came in looking for help he wouldn't have to post yet another post on "How do I defeat -insertnamehere-?" he could just look at the thread stuck at the top of the board. I thought it would save a lot of trouble for people looking for quick help.

quote: I hear what you're saying, but I disagee, because those are game related questions. It's the nature of the forum that new people will always be coming in and asking questions. The sticky function should really be for forum rules, announcements, special events, etc. Because if we make the Kangaxx/Firkraag sticky, where do we stop? We'd have to put in Irenicus, shadow dragon, balor, drow...you know what I mean? I hear what you're saying though. Let me think about it. |

It sounds a good idea at first, but it is true that we'd have to make the same topics for all the monsters, and then again for all quests. I mean, how many times have you seen someone ask how to get to Nalia's Keep? Personally, I think you'd never finish working if you'd start such a thing, plus I really don't mind answering these questions to people who are new to the game. If you haven't got the patience for it, just ignore posts like these, but I think there will always be people who don't mind responding.

What I do is to make a detailed post/thread on how to do this or beat that, then I sometimes bookmark the thread where it appeared. When the same question pops up again, I just link to that thread.
I know two spells that can kill Kangaxx the Demi-Lich in one hit! Dragon's Breath and Comet! Found out by accident, I casted Time Stop with my Project Image, then realised I could not attack with Melf's Minute Meteors or Energy Blades, so I casted Dragon's Breath for fun. |

If we would post the answers to all those questions in one topic, the BGII forum would get a bit empty. And i really don't mind answering all those questions over and over again, thats why i'm here.

I used get a small kick out of posting the fifty ways to kill your kangaxx song from baldurdash. I would post it here but it would just annoy people

quote: I personally don't want that, because it would clutter the new topics.. the Sticky function was mainly for Announcements, news and stuff that is needed to be seen for a time, not permanent stuff. As mem said, where would it end?
