Hey, who needs reasons? Just as long as you're having fun.

There is a great 'morning' show program that I listen to here in Minneapolis

KQRS

Click on 'KQ LISTEN LIVE' near the top left.

It is the highest rated morning show in the US and is absolutely hilarious. They get letters from all over the world from former Minnesotans that now listen through the website.

I've got to admit it's getting better, it's getting better all the time

Musical Starstreams
The Exotic side of music.

This site has changed since I last went there...seems only cable users and dialups of 128 speed can hook right in and play streaming sound without interruption. Us 56K users are better off downloading the archives or being very patient while the streaming music loads.

The site can hook you up to the latest version of Windows Media Player for MP3s and it is a pretty trick program for WMP! Cool skins are available to change the whole look of the program...the one I like is a guys head...you click on one "ear" and your playlist comes out...the other side controls the mixer and volume, while changable visual effects play along with the sound in the guy's forehead.

Winamp also available through this site.

More streaming music sites...

Fame Street
Music tracks with video clips...sad songs and easy listening.

Kiisfmi
Pop...check the "Make Your Selection" link to see a list of available artists.

Uses Windows Media Player and Real Player and has vidoes to go with the music. I just checked out UB40's version of Neil Diamond's "Holly Holy" Nice.

Echo
Interactive streaming music community where listeners hear music that reflects their genre preferences...
It looks like you have to sign up for a membership which is free and you can create your own stations & listen with your friends.
Alternative, Hip-Hop, Punk, Electronica, Modern Rock & Top 40 Hits.

Electronic Pulse
Electronica and electronic music...streaming 24-7

Village Voice radio
A variety..check the schedule, be prepared for commercials!

Friskit
Searching for great music? Friskit searches the internet for the artists you want to hear.
For a limited time, you may still access the Friskit Search and Stream Player.

Musicplex
Finally! Such a large variety on this site! Acid Jazz (Memnoch~acid?! lol ), Classical Concerto, Classical Rock, Classical Piano, Cumbio, Indie Rock, Euro, Reggae, Gospel, Japenese, Hawaiian, Chinese, Canadian, Big Band, Merengue, Salsa, South African and Showtoons just to name a few....I don't think anyone could be left out here!
You have to register and they require addrress information in case you buy CD's (I got insecure site alerts so I gave them my old address in AZ...no one lives there, the place was burnt to the ground the last time my son saw it.)

And last but not least, lets connect to Live From Texas] LOL! The videos link uses Windows Media Player v6.4 or older.
