Seems like there's a good chance the series will continue.

ugh. I was hoping they would bury this series--after MM6, they totally ruined the series. I remember LOVING Might and Magic III and the Xeen's...

Maybe UBI will turn it around.. But people have been burned, so it'll be hard to get people to come back to the series.

The only way for Might & Magic to return to its former greatness is to keep it in the hands of New World Computing.

I wonder if JVC might be persuaded to come back and drive things. Back like it was, in the old days...

And for what it's worth, I agree with Z. MM4&5 (aka WOX) were fantastic (although too easy by today's standards), and MM6 was a welcome change. MM7 was, IMHO, MM6 part 2, and MM8 and MM9 just kind of dwindled along.

It would really be nice to have something come back into play...

*edit: typos!*

IMO too bad. M&M isn't what it used to be. I'm a big fan of the M&M series, I also enjoyed MM7. MM8 wasn't good and MM9 a catastrophy. Possibly the worst game I have ever played. If there will be another sequel, let's hope they bring it back to the golden days.

I agree that M&M 8 and especially 9 were below standard, but I also think that M&M 9 along with HOMM 4 had potential for much more, but were rushed by 3DO.
NWC was, before 3DO filed for bankruptcy, working on HOMM 5 which hopefully could be that game HOMM 4 should have been.
