My friend said that it didn't follow the book too much.. and that made it quite awkward... but then if you are an Anne Rice fan (I know you are) then watch it No harm doing that

The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned (the movie is supposedly based on both) were IMHO the best books in the Vampire Chronicles. I hope they haven't stuffed it up completely.

I too afraid to watch!!

Quite a bit different from the vampire norm movie, a bit refreshing I must say. Not an all time favourite movie category but still worth seeing IMO.
Aviendha just go see it I cant say how much it follows the books as I havent read those particular ones. But as a movie it could be better but it could be a lot worse...

I thought it was one of the worst films I'd seen in quite some time. It slaughtered the storyline from the books. I went from outraged to disgusted and so on as I watched. My friend I saw it with hadn't read the books and he thought it was so-so. the main actor was easy on the eyes, though. I can't remember his name... He wasn't a particularly good actor, but at least he was pretty.

Thanks Katherine, it's just as I thought! I'll wait for the DVD (to rent, not buy)

Pretty much what I thought, but now when I go to read the books they will look supremely good in comparison
