Father Bronze: I'm bad about that in Wizards & Warriors, as is Wyvern! We've been "cussed out" before for beating someone to the punch on a post, LOL!

LadyZekke: Try doing the reboot thingy, like Father Bronze and I suggested. It should work. If you get a "splash screen" in the way, hit ESC on the keyboard and you can see what's going on underneath. (I HATE those splash screens...makes me think they're trying to hide something.
 )

Well this lovely machine just locked up on me, so I got a chance to reboot. All I saw were two things that MAY mean the MHZ:
SB IO=220h MP0401 IO=330h Any of that look familiar? Thanks for trying to help out guys ------------------

Ahhhh no....that's hexadecimal (that's what the little "h" next to the number means). I take it that's I/O memory locations.
*sigh* Not sure what to tell you now, without knowing more about your computer's setup...sorry!

Pretty soon for me here, too, LadyZekke...one more hour and I'm done.
Last hour is easy for me...Advanced Word 2000, just have to sit and "babysit" them while they do their projects.

Take a stopwatch and your computer (CPU or Monitor it doesn't matter) and go to the roof of your building. Throw the CPU or Monitor over the edge of the building while simultaneously starting the stopwatch (this may work best with two or more people). Stop the watch at the moment the CPU or Monitor hits the ground. Now estimate the distance the CPU or Monitor traveled (in feet) and divide by the number of seconds it took. This will give you the computer's speed (of course you may have to make a couple of conversions to get it to Mhz)

LOL.Done here in about 10 minutes. I've got to go make some copies so that the substitiute can hand out assignments tomorrow. I won't be around during the day tomorrow -- get to go to some workshop on bilingual education. Normally I wouldn't mind, except that if this workshop is like anything the district has done recently it'll be a waste of time. Oh well. At least the building where the workshop is is air conditioned. Hate these hot days. See ya'll. |
